Shanyn Fiske is an Associate Professor of English at Rutgers University (Camden). She received her BA from Brown University in 1997 and her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. She is the author of the book Heretical Hellenism: Women Writers, Ancient Greece, and the Victorian Popular Imagination (Ohio 2008). Her articles, book chapters, reviews, and fiction have been published in a variety of academic and literary journals. Her most recent research examines relations between England and China in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
