Shanyn Fiske is an Associate Professor of English and Communication. She received her BA from Brown University in 1997 and her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. She is the author of the book Heretical Hellenism: Women Writers, Ancient Greece, and the Victorian Popular Imagination. Her articles, book chapters, reviews, and fiction have been published in a variety of academic and literary journals. Her most recent work exists at the intersection of visual media, the spatial humanities, and trauma studies.
